One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Capital District of NY origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with two abstract, slip-trailed floral design, one including additional cobalt details to the interior of the blossom. Excellent color. Rim and base chips. A 2 3/4" line from rim. Surface crazing to underside and bottom edge, not visible on interior.
