Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ORCUTT, HUMISTON & CO. / TROY", NY State origin, circa 1828-1829, ovoid jug with tapered spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a brushed design of a flower with looping stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing chip / contact mark to reverse.
