Two Cobalt-Dated Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, 1859 and 1873, a one-gallon jug with cobalt "1859" date above tornado-shaped slip-trailing, stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MA"; paired with a two-gallon jug with "1873" date within a stylized wreath, stamped "WHITES.UTICA". Norton jug with poorly-restored heavy base chipping and large, poorly-restored spout chip. Whites jug with reglued handle, two chips to bottom edge, three short lines to base, and painted restoration to spout, shoulder area, and handle.
