Two Norwalk, CT Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, circa 1840, three-gallon jar with splayed leaf motif, stamped "SMITH & DAY, / MANUFACTURERS, / NORWALK, CON.", paired with a one-gallon jar with matching cobalt motif, attributed to Smith & Day. Three-gallon jar with staining to surface and small base chips. One-gallon jar with a thin 5 1/2" crack to one side of jar and a few minor in-the-firing chips to base.
