Large-Sized Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Bank, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid form with footed base, pointed finial, and carved coin slot at shoulder, the surface dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. The largest Strasburg redware bank that we have ever offered. Restoration to foot. Wear to finial. A shallow flake to interior of slot. A small area of exfoliation to left side. H 5 1/2".
