Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CONNOLLY & PALMER. / NEW BRUNSWICK, / N.J.", circa 1886-1889, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a slip-trailed looping line motif surmounted by a foliate device. Slip-trailed "2" above. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Some fry to cobalt. Chips to interior of spout and a small chip to exterior of spout. A tight V-shaped crack on underside, forming a T at base on reverse. Some fry to cobalt.
