Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Rooster Decoration, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a crowing rooster atop a stylized ground. A chip to end of one handle. Minor wear to end of opposite handle. Interior of rim with a few chips and light wear. A 2 1/4" line from rim on reverse. Light base wear. Some tiny flecks of surface wear to front.
