Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stenciled in Bold "Hamilton & Jones / GREENSBORO / PA", circa 1870, ovoid jug with tapered spout and ribbed handle, featuring the large, diagonally-stenciled firm name, "Hamilton & Jones / GREENSBORO / PA". Exceptional stenciling, featuring thick, crisp lettering and strong color. Essentially as-made condition with a 3" shallow in-the-firing contact mark to reverse and a small bloated spot to reverse.
