Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Freehand Decoration, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated throughout with freehand stripes and vining. Base area with an ornate script "2" surrounded by spots, flanked by dashes. Tight lines in underside and rim on reverse. Staining to exterior surface and interior. Two salt drips on underside.
