Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. WEAVER", Beaver, PA, circa 1865, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with an abstract brushed floral motif, incorporating highlights to the interior of the blossoms and graduated swags. Cobalt highlights to maker' s mark and handle terminals. A loss to end of right handle. Two small chips to left handle. A chip to front of rim. Some additional light rim and light surface wear.
