Unusual Five-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, cylindrical form with ribbed handles, octagonal bunghole, and highly unusual rounded top with narrow opening. Decorated on front, sides, and reverse with a stem extending around the shoulder, bearing flowers and graduated leaves. Large, tight spider cracks to body, emanating from bunghole and extending onto right side, reverse, and rounded top. Two small chips and lines to right handle. A large chip to left handle. Chips to bunghole.
