Two Stoneware Canning Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, both with inner "wax sealer" rims, one stenciled "Jas. Hamilton / & Co. / Greensboro / Pa.", the other stenciled "A. CONRAD. / NEW / GENEVA. / PA." Hamilton with shallow chipping to interior of rim and inner rim for lid. Conrad in essentially as-made condition with some bubbling to cobalt, a small piece of adhered clay at base, an in-the-firing contact mark near base, and some in-the-firing roughness to rim. H (of Hamilton jar) 8 1/8".
