Two Stoneware Jars, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT / GREENSBORO. PA", circa 1880, both of cylindrical form, a one-gallon example with scrolled stenciling and a two-gallon example with freehand brushwork, stenciled tulips, and central stenciled foliate motif, exhibiting strong color. One-gallon jar with a thin semi-circular crack to underside, a 2 1/2" crack from rim, and a 1 1/4" salt drip to side of jar. Two-gallon jar with a tight crack from rim, some wear to cobalt, and water glass staining to surface.
