Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, one stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO, PA", with various stylized stenciled designs, the other stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON. / & Co. / GREENSBORO. / PA.". Hamilton & Jones jar with small chips to shoulder molding, a chip to bottom edge of rim. James Hamilton jar with a large chip to exterior of rim, a smaller chip to interior of rim, a long hairline to front, a Y-shaped hairline to underside, part of which continues onto base, and some wear to cobalt.
