One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated with a brushed drooping flower motif. Collar decorated with leaf-like brushwork flanking a dash-decorated spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. As-made condition with some in-the-firing crazing to reverse.
