Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Chester County, PA or Northeast, MD origin, circa 1860, ovoid with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed swag-and-hanging-flower motif. Provenance: Ragan Pharmacy, Old Conowingo, Cecil County, MD, found underwater. A 1 1/2" chipped section to end of one handle. A few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. Two minor rim chips.
