Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "FORT EDWARD / POTTERY CO.", Ft. Edward, NY, circa 1859, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a parrot perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 6 1/2" hairline from spout. Additional crazing to spout. Spout chips. Some light crazing to base. A 3 7/8" flake to underside, partially visible at base when jug is normal standing position.
