Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Paddletail Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON, / UTICA, N.Y.", circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed design of a crested bird with paddle-shaped tail, perched on a flowering vine. Excellent condition with a faint 3/4" line from spout on reverse, a minor glazed-over base chip, and minor wear to base of handle.
