One-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird-on-Stump Decoration, Stamped "F.T. WRIGHT & SON / TAUNTON, MASS", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a tree stump, atop a stylized ground flanked by shrubs. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. A 6" diagonal surface line to right of bird, not visible on interior. A 2 3/4" hairline from rim on reverse.
