One-Gallon "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD N.Y." Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird with fan-shaped tail, perched on a stylized tree branch. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Excellent condition with a few tiny spout nicks and a small in-the-firing stone ping to interior of spout.
