One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, James River Valley of Virginia origin, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied lug handles decorated with a stylized flower blossom flanked by wreath-like swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with one rim chip.
