One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooling to body and rim, the front decorated with two-stemmed clover plant, the spout flanked by swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Several hairlines to base area, one of which continues onto underside, where it forms a large Y. Additional lines to interior and exterior of collar, extending onto shoulder. A minor nick to interior of rim on reverse.
