Fine Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared collar, and applied tab handles, decorated with an elaborate brushed design of a flowering plant. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A few small rim chips. An in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder. Base chips.
