Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stamped "WTB GORDY", Alvaton, GA, late 19th century, cylindrical jug with salt-glazed surface and heavier glazing to the spout and handle. Impressed with "WTB GORDY" maker's mark below a four-gallon capacity mark. A 1" handle chip and minor handle chip. Heavy chipping to spout. Some light surface wear. A small piece of adhered clay on reverse.
