Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, NJ origin, mid 19th century, an ovoid, handled jar with brushed floral decoration on one side and a cobalt-script "1' flanked by dashes and wavy lines, attributed to Abial Price, Matawan, NJ; paired with an ovoid, handled jar with spotted drape-and-tassel motif on one side, NJ origin. Unsigned Price jar with two tight cracks from rim on reverse, measuring 4 1/2" and 3", a 1 1/8" in-the-firing iron ping to front, and rim chips. Other jar with rim chips, light wear to handles, and a glazed-over chip to bottom edge of one handle.
