One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Table Churn, attributed to B.F. Landrum, Edgefield District, SC origin, circa 1860, semi-ovoid churn with semi-squared rim molding, the surface covered in a dark-olive alkaline glaze. Shoulder incised "1" to indicate capacity. Includes alkaline-glazed churn lid. Heavy wear and shallow chips around rim. Wear to inner rim for lid. Otherwise excellent condition. Lid with two minor edge chips and tiny chipping to raised opening for dasher. H (including lid) 11".
