Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO. PA.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, the front featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling within a scrolled flourish. Two large chips to inner wax sealer rim, measuring 1 3/8" and 1", as well as two minor nicks. A few chips to interior of rim. A 1/2" line from rim on front. H 7".
