Two One-Gallon Ovoid Stoneware Jugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1830-1840, one with the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, "M. TYLER. ALBANY / MANUFACTURER", NY State origin, the other with cobalt-highlighted handle terminals, stamped "T O GOODWIN / HARTFORD", CT origin. Tyler jug with staining, a hairline in lower handle terminal, and a minor, in-the-firing surface line to shoulder. Goodwin jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition.
