One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with footed base, decorated around the midsection with a brushed swag and hanging flower design. Collar decorated with brushed horizontal swags on each side and vertical swags flanking a cobalt spot on the spout. Large circular cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a 1" in-the-firing contact mark to front including a small piece of adhered clay.
