Fine Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and heavily-ribbed handle, the surface covered in a heavy lead glaze with appealing spotting and crawling throughout. Exceptional coloration with yellow, green, orange, and olive hues throughout. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, from a long-term Wilmington, DE collection. Small spout chips. A 1/2" handle chip and minor handle wear. Three base chips, the longest measuring 3/4". Two small in-the-firing contact marks to surface. H 7 1/4".
