Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Drape Decoration, attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Sr., Manhattan, NY, circa 1820, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed drape-and-spot motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Very nice condition with a few rim chips and minor in-the-firing flaws to surface.
