Three-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied tab handles, and squared rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a two-stemmed clover plant design. Handles decorated with brushed cobalt highlights at the terminals, extending over the tops of the handles. Areas of restoration to surface and rim. Rim chips. Faint lines to underside.
