Two Pieces of New Jersey Stoneware, fourth quarter 19th century, a small-sized butter crock with swag decoration and original salt-and-Albany-slip-glazed lid, attributed to the Wingender Pottery, Haddonfield, NJ, paired with a two-gallon cylindrical crock with brushed and slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "O.H. SMITH & BRO. / FLEMINGTON, N.J.". Butter crock in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Lid in excellent condition with a minor chip to knob. Smith crock with large Y-shaped crack from rim on reverse, which continues onto underside. Crack on reverse includes a large reglued section.
