Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, H.B. Pfaltzgraff, York, PA, circa 1870-1889, both of similar form with different spout moldings, each decorated with a different tulip motif. One impressed with "H.B. PFALTZGRAFF / YORK, PA" maker's mark. Signed example with very tight spider crack extending from reverse onto left side and base of jug. Unsigned jug in excellent condition with a minor chip to underside at edge and two in-the-making scratches to front of jug, which are glazed over.
