Two Stoneware Jars, American, second half 19th century, an unusually large-sized canning jar, stamped "WM. HARE / WILMINGTON DEL."; paired with a one-gallon jar with tulip decoration around the shoulder, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA. Hare jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor in-the-firing chips to bottom edge. Unsigned Remmey jar with a reglued 1" rim chip with shallow chipping around it, as well as a short, faint line on underside, probably in-the-firing. H (of Hare jar) 11".
