Rare Stoneware Flowerpot with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Roseville, Ohio origin, circa 1875, tapered pot with heavy tooled rim and original drain hole in underside, decorated on one side with a large, folky design of a tulip blossom and on the reverse with a hanging leaf motif. The distinctive color and leaf decoration on this flowerpot indicate it was made in Roseville, Ohio, circa 1875. A difficult-to-find stoneware form. A 5 1/4" crack from rim. Otherwise excellent condition. H 6 1/4" ; Diameter (across top) 8 1/4".
