Rare Miniature Salesman's Sample Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Ohio origin, circa 1860-1875, diminutive crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-squared rim, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of a two-stemmed flowering plant below a script "4". Exceptional size. A shallow 5/8" in-the-firing base chip, an approximately 2" hairline from rim on front, and a very faint approximately 3/4" line from rim on reverse. H 4 1/8".
