Four Manganese-Decorated Redware Articles, American, a large cup with splashed manganese and lightly-spattered yellow slip decoration, New England origin, late 18th or 19th century; a mug with arched manganese sponging, possibly CT origin, 19th century; a small pan with sponged manganese around the shoulder, 19th century; and a bottle with elaborate manganese decoration, probably 20th century. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Cup with a significant cracks, small rim chips, and rim wear. Mug with chips and wear to rim and a hairline from rim. Pan with a few rim chips and some rim wear. Bottle with surface scratches and heavy chips to spout. H (of bottle) 5".
