Glazed Redware Mug with Coggled Decoration, attributed to Jacob Heart, Chambersburg, PA, circa 1840, ovoid mug with footed base and flared rim, the shoulder and handle accented with a coggled circle motif, the surface decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent condition with an area of minor wear to rim, possibly in-the-firing, and a shallow flake to underside at edge, probably in-the-firing. H 3 1/2" ; Diameter (across top) 4 3/4".
