Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMANS", Paul Cushman, Albany, NY, circa 1815, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar, and applied lug handles, featuring the large coggled signature of Paul Cushman extending across the midsection. Desirable short, wide body form. A restored 8" Y-shaped crack from rim on front. A shallow 1 1/4" glazed-over rim chip. Shallow base chips. Some staining.
