Two Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875-1885, both of cylindrical form, one with seven alternating straight and wavy stripes, impressed "2" on reverse, attributed to Isaac Hewitt, Jr., Rices Landing, PA, the other with freehand stenciled decoration, stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA.". Stripe-decorated jar with spots of staining, a salt drip to shoulder, and salt residue to underside. Williams & Reppert jar with a 1 1/4" chip to side of spout, staining, and dark residue to surface.
