Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "FROM / J.E. ENEIX / NEW. GENEVA PA.", circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, the front featuring James Eneix maker's stenciling with finely-stenciled foliate motif at center. Large freehand "2" below, flanked by dashes. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Provenance: From an over forty-year private collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some light streaks of staining to reverse.
