Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON / & JONES / GREENSBORO / PA.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, the front featuring Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling, including a large script "H", all included within a stenciled vine design. A few minor nicks to interior of rim. Some additional minor nicks to inner wax sealer rim. A small, in-the-firing base flake, which is glazed over. H 6 1/2".
