Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flower Basket Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO., / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a floral spray emanating from an open-handled basket. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. An 8" vertical line to left of decoration, not visible on interior. Numerous tiny chips to interior of rim. A 1 5/8" chip to exterior of rim. Spots of staining to surface.
