Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LYONS", Thompson Harrington, Lyons, NY, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a boldly-brushed tulip plant beside a freehand "2." Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Includes base to old wooden churn dasher. A rim chip on reverse. A minor handle chip. A minor nick on interior of rim. A very faint surface line on underside, not visible on interior.
