Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS & REPPERT / GREENSBORO, PA", circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a stenciled scrolled vine motif between Williams & Reppert maker's stenciling. Freehand "2" flanked by flourishes below. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. A 2 1/8" chip to underside at edge. Hairline to underside, possibly in-the-firing. Staining to surface.
