Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "J. MILLER / WHEELING, Va.", circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied tab handles, the shoulder impressed with J. Miller maker's mark above a distinctive, circular two-gallon capacity mark. A long, very tight Y-shaped line to base / midsection on front. Jar does not sit perfectly flat.
