Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably Ohio origin, circa 1850, ovoid pitcher with tooled shoulder and short, flaring collar, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip plant design with cross at the center of the blossom. Cobalt swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to spout, handle terminals, and capacity mark. A 6" crack from spout. A 1 1/8" chip to spout, primarily visible on interior. A second small chip to interior of spout. A small flake to collar above handle. Heavy shallow chipping to base.
