Rare Glazed Redware Vase with Incised Signature and Date, Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, 1931, ovoid vase with footed base, flared collar, and heavily-ribbed handles, embellished with coggled accents to the rim and shoulder. Body of vase incised with the inscription "This vase was made / by Jacob Medinger / at the Limerick Pottery / March 28 1931". Surface covered in a heavy lead glaze over a mottled olive-green and orange ground. Excellent condition with spots of wear to bottom edge, visible when vase is turned over, as well as some other typical light wear to underside. H 11 1/2".
