One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER", New York State origin, circa 1860, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall collar and pronounced rim, the front decorated with a flowering plant motif featuring two buds emanating from a series of heavily-shaded leaves. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
